KJ Ross NATA ICT Lab Accreditation now includes Health Identifiers and Secure Message Delivery
The KJ Ross ICT Test Laboratory has been announced as one of the first organisations in Australia to extend its exiting NATA accreditation to include NeHTA eHealth software conformance requirements for Health Identifiers (HI) and Secure Messaging Delivery (SMD) to NeHTA and Australian Technical Specifications.
This is an important milestone for KJ Ross to support the NEHTA and DoHA health initiatives including the PCEHR projects and the public and private initiatives in health. This accreditation means KJ Ross now offers an independent NATA laboratory for health software vendors and health organisations that have developed health solutions which require HI or SMD. The laboratory can assist organisations to attain conformant software status for any software using Secure Messaging or the Medicare Health Identifiers.
Director of KJ Ross & Associates, Dr Kelvin Ross said the accreditation “builds on the health practice KJ Ross has created and on the work already completed for many jurisdictions in the health arena."
“This achievement shows the KJ Ross commitment to the health industry and to quality standards in testing. We are looking forward to working on some exciting projects focused on connecting healthcare.” Dr Ross said.
Joe Griffiths, Head of the Health Practice at KJ Ross said “our skills in HI, SMD and health care generally can assist in delivering and de-risking health projects, particularly in PCEHR wave 1 and 2. We are looking forward to working with jurisdictions, health industry integrators and health solution providers to help make these projects successful.”
With the success of the laboratory accreditation KJ Ross will continue to expand their work with NEHTA and the industry on new specifications that require independent NATA lab accreditation.
