Quality, being the key driver of software testing efforts, is also a primary focus for SMART Labs in all endeavors that they undertake.K. J. Ross & Associates' SMART Labs test laboratory was the first laboratory to complete NATA accreditation for software testing in Australia, and is one of only 3 that have currently completed accreditation requirements.
NATA is the only Australian provider of laboratory accreditation recognised by the Commonwealth Government and by NATA's international peers. NATA accreditation therefore provides an immediate advantage to those laboratories supplying testing services to government and international customers, particularly in US, Asia-Pacific and European communities.
Dr Kelvin Ross was also a steering committee member involved with NATA in interpreting the ISO17025 to be specifically applied to software testing.
Further commitment to quality is also demonstrated when K. J. Ross & Associates partnered with Software Engineering Australia (SEA) in establishing the Certified Software Testing Professional ™ (CSTP) programme. CSTP accredits individuals as having skills and experience to demonstrate their competence as a software test professional and is now run in partnership with Object Training across the country. K. J. Ross & Associates conduct training for CSTP candidates in 18 days of learning over four courses, and later includes workplace competence evaluation and formal assessment.
