What is the enrollment process?

Contact K. J. Ross & Associates on 1300 854 063 or email training@kjross.com.au to enroll. We will ask you to complete an enrollment form and you will be sent a Course Participant Handbook prior to your enrolment.

What are the pre-requisites to enrolling in the Certificate IV course?

There are a number of units containing the basic fundamentals of IT knowledge and skills. Competency for these units is demonstrated by previously having completed the Certificate II in Information Technology. Therefore you will need to have completed at least these core units.

  • ICAU2005B-Operate computer hardware
  • ICAU2006B-Operate computing packages
  • ICAU2013B-Integrate commercial computing packages
  • ICAU2231B-Use computer operating system
  • ICAW2001B-Work effectively in an IT environment
  • ICAW2002B-Communicate in the workplace
In general it is expected that course participants have at least a year’s work experience within the IT industry.

What happens if I fail my exam or if my assessments are determined to be Not Yet Competent?

Please see the attached page for re-assessment rules. In general terms however, students will be given an opportunity to have further training and a further attempt at assessment.

What can I do after completing the Certificate IV course?

The next step from the Certificate IV qualification is the Diploma in Information Technology. Completion of the Certificate IV will provide some recognition towards the Diploma.

What support is available to me throughout the course?

Your trainer will be available through email and telephone support. Should you require more extensive one on one support, this may incur an additional charge.

Public courses are scheduled in capital cities throughout Australia and a course schedule can be found on our website at www.kjross.com.au

Do you hold in-house courses?

Our in-house course have always been popular and we would be happy to tailor course content and negotiate a special price for courses with six or more participants.
