CSTP Project and Workplace Assessment

CSTP Project and Workplace Assessment

Once students have completed all the requisite CSTP training and passed the exam assessments, they may seek full certification through submission of a project and assessment at work.

The project is expected to require around 60 hours of work, although this can be completed over a 6 month period. The student must submit an abstract on the project prior to commencement to ensure the appropriateness, although as a guide the project should implement 1 or more aspects covered during the course.

A template for the project abstract is available here.

Some example past projects have included:
  • TPI Assessment and report of a students test team
  • HL7 Test automation framework
  • Test case management tool
  • Risk based test strategy and test project management

Once the project has been assessed for appropriateness, the student may progress on to complete the project. Prior to the submission of the final project assessment, the student should write a report on the success and merits of the project and submit the report with the project.

A report template is available here.

Once the student has completed their project, then a mutually convenient time is arranged to review the project, and perform a workplace assessment at the student's place of work. The workplace assessment reviews the student's performance through analysis of their work and feedback provided by the student's manager.

Submission of project abstracts and final reports, and arrangements for project and workplace assessments can be made by contacting us directly at training@kjross.com.au
